So, I could be better at this blogging thing but alas...I'm not. Just pretend this was written two weeks ago :) This is not a list of resolutions. This is just a list of shit I don't intend to do in 2019. This list is in no particular order.
10 things I'm leaving in 2018:
1. Self Doubt/Self Deprecation-- Its amazing how much believing in yourself can change your life. This has been a big theme for me in therapy. Not feeling enough, despite being exceptional. So this year I plan to love myself harder than ever before.
2. Unhealthy living--You get one body. Be good to it and it will be good to you. I'm working out regularly again and being mindful of how I fuel my body. Currently on day 6 of Whole30 so I'm kind of on a high.
3. Sugar--My body doesn't process it the same. Bye bye chocolate, bye bye happiness. Though, I will casually indulge for time to time, I'm not crazy.
4. Problematic Relationships--Friends, lovers, family, if its forced I don't want or need it. I love my circles, but in the past I've put up with more abuse than was necessary or deserved. In 2019, I'm no longer afraid to let go.
5. Work Related Stress--Idc, it will get done, eventually.
6. Casual Sex--I'm over it! I've had my heaux phase! It was illustrious and I learned a lot about myself, my body and men! I am an advocate of a heaux phase, and strongly encourage all to partake, safely. Right now though, I want something different, meaningful and passionate. Also, I'm possessive with my sh*t. I want peen that is mine and only mine. This could ALL change come summer btw...TBD.
7. Being Anti Social--Within recent years for my own personal reasons, I've been to myself. In 2019 I plan to be more social, say yes more and attempt to meet new people and explore more of my city. That being said, I'm currently at home chillin'. Off to a rocky start lol
8. Procrastination--This is such a bad problem. In fact, I'm procrastinating RIGHT. NOW. lol
9. Eating out-- I want to cook more and develop my cooking skills. Master different flavors and broaden my palette. That being said, I'll make exceptions for really great restaurants with really great people and stimulating conversation.
10. Setting Deadlines for Goals--Goals stress me TF out. While I still intend to accomplish much this year, I don't intend to be rigid and set hard deadlines. I want to pray more and ask my Lord, to handle the rest on HER time. Timing is something I've always struggled with. I have accomplished most, if not all things I've set out to do. However, my timing and Gods timing don't always align. That has been very frustrating in the past, but this year I'm not going to set timed deadlines. I'm going to work towards my desired achievements, pray, and allow God to determine the rest. :)
